ps3 or xbox 360?

whats better in your opinion..im planning on getting one and i am sort of leaning towards PS3...

No i dont want to..my fiether cant afford it and gta games suck on the Pc so ..No i will not upgrade my pc..cause i want to play red dead redemption...which is like gta..

Suit yourself, but consoles are going out of style in favour of hardcore gaming PCs.
If you're going to waste your money on a console, then I recommend the PS3 - increased play times and much better graphics at aroundabout the same cost, with none of this" OH HAI GUIZ PAY FOR ONLINE WHY DONTCHA?!?!?!?!?" crap. But buying a console for a single game isn't exactly smart thinking, no matter good Red Dead Redemption is (oh and trust me, it is good).
Despite the fact that every single game is developed on the PC to begin with >.>

i truly dont enjoy gaming on the pc that much... i prefer consoles ... and i want to get a few games so that they last me a year ..then i will get new ones... (cause where i live i cant get original CDs)

I Enjoy most of the games on my PC.

FPS... TPS, RTS and RPG games were made for the PC.
Far as I'm concerned, all the consoles truly have on the PC is Guitar Hero and the SIMS (they can keep that).
But with the amount of Square Enix exclusives PS3 is getting, you want that.

They re-invigorate the FF series by changing the formula - I'm afraid that not all of us want the same game with better graphics, time after time.
Cloud kicking ass, matrix-style - now THATS a crowd-pleaser.

No i just dont like the story , charecters , the combat system , i mean every FF before had different stuff in it each time .. like how they changed the leveling in FFVIII and in FFIX that was different ... they didnt really add much cool stuff ... i mean the summons on FFXII were so booring.. and the fighting was shit.. the story was crap .. but idont want to go through this so foget abooouuut it ok? :)

RPGs can be a touchy subject for most people, so I can respect you opinion. Thought it was the crack, myself, but still.

FFXIII isn't exactly the only RPG out, though. Demon's Souls has to be the hardest, most evil, greatest RPG on the PS3 to date, not to mention it's a real looker. There's also your iconic games like God of War, Killzone, not to mention Kingdom Hearts - all of which are being re-released in high-definition as an answer to the sheer lack of backwards compatibility that consoles seem to have.

Great games, and they have great sequels.

I can't enjoy a game if it looks like something I could have bought way back on the ps1. It's not good if it's new and they are too lazy to make their games a looker.
Exceptions are your stylized games : Madworld, XBLA games, the like.

The Xbox doesn't even have the hardware to cope, they charge for online pay, and they even have the nerve to charge the same amount for their console.
Seriously, PS3, the fact is you're getting much more bang for your buck.

Hmmm im starting to lean towards the PS3 more now....

The only reason the XBox 360 ever got ahead in the console war to begin with was because of the PS3's lousy marketing and ridiculous starting price - it was a case "oh, all my friends are on it, I'll get one crap-in-a-box too". Not to mention it released several years ahead of schedule - one of the reasons that the hardware has all these weird, stupid bugs that are plaguing consumers. Poor marketing choices, but they started out much richer.
However, even that is changing - has been changing for a while now - and the PS3's gross profits are expected to rival or exceed the 360's by the end of the financial year - which is not long away, by the way.

I can't find any not out-dated support vids for my thesis - most are one or two years ago, everyone except the XBox 360 crowd seems to have accepted that the PS3 was better to begin with.

But its just the cost.. its too damn much!

You'd have to be stupid to get any [b[ BAD [/b] games on the ps3. Just keep the hell away from any fanboy (Airbender, Naurto, or Capcom sequel games) games or movie games and you'll do just fine.

And I can't believe it's 300 pounds over there, my friend is getting a rad deal at $250 for ps3, as., and 2 games of his choice at EB. You sure it's that much?
And keep in mind what you're friends play. If you're a major onliner, and yet you're the only one playing the ps3, then it's not nearly as fine, and I'd actually semi-recommend putting up with the 360's absolute suck.
